In Good Company is looking forward to an exciting 2019-2020 season, with performances and other events throughout eastern Massachusetts.  Here’s what on our plate now…

Special Fundraising Event, Saturday, March 7, 2020
Cambridge, Massachusetts
Along with Eureka Ensemble, IGC is hosting a special fundraising evening in support of our new collaborative production, Radiance of the Day, An Immigrants’ Story [working title].  We will be offering a musical preview of the show, including original pieces performed by members of both organizations, as well as the opportunity to discuss the story and the creative process with playwright Ginger Lazarus, IGC’s Music Director Steven Lipsitt, Eureka’s Artistic Advisor Andrés Ballesteros, and other members of the production group.

If you are interested in attending, please email us at fundraising@ingoodcompanytheater.org for more details.

Performance of The Golden Door, March 22, 2020 (tentative)
First Parish in Waltham, 50 Church Street, Waltham
IGC will be presenting a free performance of The Golden Door for educators and school administrators. A story about modern-day and historical immigration designed for younger audiences, the play includes songs in many languages, including Spanish, Yiddish, and Armenian. As in our elementary school performances, this show will incorporate local children as performers.

Initial Performances of Radiance of the Day, Weekends of May 29 and June 5, 2020
Locations to be announced

In keeping with IGC’s mission to bring compelling historical and cultural stories to the stage, and Eureka Ensemble’s mission to nurture social change, Radiance of the Day tells the story of current social and political challenges faced by immigrants in Lawrence, Massachusetts, set against the backdrop of the famous 1912 Bread and Roses textile workers strike.
