In Good Company was created by members of the former Revels Repertory Company in September of 2012. Members of the ensemble bring over 15 years of performance experience in schools and public venues to this new arts organization.
Members are auditioned volunteers, although many have significant performance experience either in vocal or theatrical realms (or both). Professional singer/actors and instrumentalists are hired to supplement the ensemble as needed.
The company has created “None But the Best“, a musical drama about the life, time, and works of publisher/philanthropist Daniel Sharp Ford, “The Golden Door“, a musical production offering a contemporary perspective on immigration and racial/cultural diversity in Boston today, and “Hail to the Chief“, a musical revue about American Presidential campaigns and the music that influenced them. This spring, the company will re-stage the musical play “Voices from the Mountain“, focusing on the experiences of early twentieth century musicologist Olive Dame Campbell during her visits to the villages of rural North Carolina.
